Pou Veterinary Group is a busy, growing private practice, located in Miami, FL. We are a family owned hospital (so no need to worry about practicing corporate medicine). We are looking for a Part-Time licensed Veterinarian to join our spectacular team (position has the possibility to become full time by end of year, new year)! We are mainly a companion animal hospital, serving over 3,000 patients. Our practice has been serving the Kendall area for 30 years, and has recently expanded. We have built our practice by providing modern progressive care to our patients, while maintaining a compassionate practice culture that emphasizes with the human animal bond.


We are looking for someone with great communication skills, bilingual (English/Spanish), a team player, and someone who can handle seeing over 15 patients per day. Basic surgery skills (spays, neuters) a must. Interests in Surgery and Internal medicine, as well as exotics (or pocket pets) a plus, but not necessary.


About our Hospital: - Modern hospital in the heart of Kendall - In-house diagnostics, plus outside laboratories (with twice-a-day pickups) - Digital Radiography (brand new) - Full dental equipment - Laser therapy - Electronic Medical Records (knowledge of Avimark Software a plus!) - Open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm & Sat 8am-4pm - In house groomer - Fully stocked in-house pharmacy - Access to ultrasound, CT Scan & MRI - Orthopedic/Soft Tissue Surgeon Specialist on an as-needed basis


Job Requirements: - Develop a relationship with clients and determine their needs and wishes. Perform physical exams and diagnostics/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that delivers the highest standard of care - Communicate with Clients your findings and diagnosis of the pet's problems; determine a treatment plan for the pet; educate client on the importance of preventive medicine, including the need for vaccines, etc. - Maintain complete medical records and assists colleagues in follow-up & future management of the patient - Stay up-to-date with new medical information & changes in veterinary medicine. Must attend a minimum of 15 hrs of continuing education per year - Ensure the highest quality of care and medicine, along with exceptional client service is rendered - Positively represent the hospital in the professional community, and to the general public - Other duties as assigned, and subject to change


Qualifications: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited University - New grads welcome - License in good standing to practice in Florida - Experience with exotics a plus
